Accompanied by Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Tuấn Thanh and leaders from various provincial departments, Ngọc visited affected areas to assess the damage and guide recovery efforts.
According to preliminary data from Đề Gi commune, the storm caused extensive destruction, with eight houses completely collapsed, six in An Quang Đông hamlet, one in Chánh Danh hamlet, and one in Thái Bình hamlet.
In addition, about 700 houses were damaged or lost their roofs, and 255 aquaculture cages and rafts, including 54 fish cages and 201 oyster cages, were destroyed.
During a briefing with local officials, Ngọc praised the proactive response of commune authorities, armed forces, and residents in minimizing casualties and losses. He instructed the commune to mobilize all available resources to help people rebuild temporary shelters, restore production, and stabilize livelihoods quickly.
Ngọc also ordered a comprehensive damage assessment to be submitted to provincial authorities for timely financial assistance, stressing that no household should be left without food or shelter following the storm.
“Assisting people in overcoming the aftermath of Storm No. 13 must be treated as an urgent and top priority task,” Ngọc emphasized during his visit.
The provincial leader later inspected An Quang Đông hamlet, meeting families who had suffered severe losses to offer encouragement and share their hardships.
