Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Co-Head of the Program Steering Committee, said this was the second national walking event organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security since 2025.

This year, the Ministry of National Defense and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union joined the initiative, working with provincial and municipal People’s Committees to launch the program simultaneously across the country.

“I hope that after this event, each person will walk a little more, use a little less plastic, and keep the street in front of their house a little cleaner,” Le Quoc Minh said. “If each of these ‘little things’ is multiplied by one hundred million people, it will create a different Vietnam, a truly green and beautiful Vietnam.”

The event highlighted patriotism and national unity while emphasizing the role of the People’s Public Security Forces in linking security and social order with sustainable development and promoting a movement for all people to participate in protecting national security.
