Gia Lai’s youth leader Nguyễn Huỳnh Gia Hân named among 26 “shining Vietnamese willpower” honorees

Nguyễn Huỳnh Gia Hân, a young disability advocate from Gia Lai province, has been selected as one of 26 individuals to receive the 2026 “Shining Vietnamese Willpower” award, according to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation.

Hân, born in 2003, is the only representative from Gia Lai on this year’s list. She works as an administrative staff member at 2S Tinkering Co., Ltd. in North Quy Nhơn Ward, Gia Lai province.

The selection committee received 62 applications for the 2026 award before choosing 26 individuals whose achievements were considered exemplary.

The honorees come from a range of fields, including education, technology, sports, entrepreneurship, social work and youth union activities.

Hân is Head of the Gia Lai Provincial Club for Young People with Disabilities and a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Young People with Disabilities.

She also works as an editor for the “Slow Angels” digital Library, an initiative of the Dinh Thien Ly Community Support Fund in Ho Chi Minh City that supports children with disabilities.

In October 2025, Hân received the “15 October” Award from the Gia Lai Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation.

The “Shining Vietnamese Willpower” award ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hanoi in September 2026.
