Gia Lai Youth Union honors Ho Chi Minh’s 136th birthday

The Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union on May 18 held flower offering and flag-raising ceremonies across the province to commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s birth, drawing the participation of nearly 1,000 union members and young people.

At the Nguyễn Sinh Sắc - Nguyễn Tất Thành Monument in Quy Nhơn Ward, Youth Union members and local youths solemnly offered flowers in tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh, honoring him as a national liberation hero and world cultural icon while expressing gratitude for his enduring legacy.

The provincial Youth Union also organized a flower offering ceremony at the President Hồ Chí Minh Monument with the Central Highlands ethnic groups at Đại Đoàn Kết Square in Pleiku Ward.

Flag-raising ceremonies were simultaneously held at Nguyễn Tất Thành Square in Quy Nhơn Ward and Đại Đoàn Kết Square in Pleiku Ward to mark the occasion.

During his lifetime, President Hồ Chí Minh consistently emphasized the importance of the younger generation, dedicating significant efforts to their education, care, and development.

Following his teachings, Youth Union organizations throughout Gia Lai Province have intensified campaigns to study and follow Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle through a range of practical activities.

Recent initiatives have included study sessions and dissemination of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo, the “Guiding Light” contest promoting knowledge of Marxism-Leninism and Hồ Chí Minh Thought, as well as Youth Union branch activities, storytelling competitions about President Hồ Chí Minh, and cultural and artistic programs praising the Communist Party and President Hồ Chí Minh.

Through these activities, Gia Lai’s youth have continued to demonstrate a spirit of volunteerism and leadership while striving to improve themselves through study, work, and training inspired by President Hồ Chí Minh’s example, contributing to the province’s development and prosperity.
